Rosicon G is manufactured by Glenmark, India.This medication is a combination of two drugs, rosiglitazone and glimepiride. It is used along with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in patients with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). Effectively controlling high blood sugar helps prevent heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, blindness, and circulation problems, as well as sexual function problems (impotence).Rosiglitazone-containing medications are best used only when other medications (metformin) cannot be taken.Rosiglitazone belongs to a class of drugs known as thiazolidinediones or "glitazones".
