Duphaston Pharmacological groups: Estrogens, gestagens; their homologues and antagonists

Duphaston Working substance: Dydrogesterone

Duphaston Application: Progesterone failure, including barreness, abortion (habitual, menacing), an endometriosis, a dysmenorrhea, an irregular menses, the secondary amenorrhea, dysfunctional parent bleedings; a premenstrual set of symptoms; for neutralization of proliferative action of estrogens on endometritises at carrying out of replaceable hormonal therapy in a menopause.

Duphaston Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, a set of symptoms the Cudgel - Johnson, a set of symptoms of the Rotor.

Duphaston Restrictions to application: At combined application with estrogens: infringement of function of kidneys, cardiovascular diseases, a diabetes, an epilepsy, a migraine.

Duphaston Application at pregnancy and a feeding a breast: It can be applied during pregnancy. Precipitates out with maternal milk. Thoracal feeding during treatment of mother is not recommended.

Duphaston Side effects: the Metrorrhagia (the burst bleedings stoped by rising of a dose).

Duphaston Interaction: Inductors of microsomal enzymes of a liver, including Fenobarbitalum, can accelerate a biotransformation and weaken effect.

Duphaston Overdosage: Treatment: symptomatic, a gastric lavage.

Duphaston Way of application and dose: Inside, individually, depending on character and a degree of gravity of disease. Barreness: on 10 milligram/day from 11-th cycle till 25-th day. Treatment is carried out continuously during 3-6 serial cycles and more: in case of offensive of pregnancy it is recommended to continue therapy within the first months as it is recommended at habitual abortion. Menacing abortion: 40 mg single-passly, then on 10 mg in each 8 h before disappearance of signs. After disappearance of signs treatment by an efficient dose continue within 7 days, then gradually reduce a dose. If thus signs arise again treatment continue with use of the previous efficient dose. Habitual abortion: 10 mg 2 times day till 20-th week of pregnancy. A dysmenorrhea: on 10 mg 2 times day from 5-th cycle till 25-th day. An amenorrhea: in a combination with estrogen (1 time day from 1-st cycle till 25-th day) - on 10 mg of a Dydrogesterone 2 times day from 11-th cycle till 25-th day. Irregular menses: on 10 mg 2 times day from 11-th cycle till 25-th day. An endometriosis: on 10 mg 2-3 times day from 5-th cycle till 25-th day and-or are continuous. Dysfunctional parent bleedings: on 10 mg 2 times day within 5-7 days in a combination to estrogens (for a stopping) or on 10 mg 2 times day from 11-th cycle till 25-th day (for prophylaxis). In a postmenopause: on 10 milligram/day within 14 days within the framework of a 28-day's cycle (at the continuous schema of reception of estrogens) or in the same dose within last 12-14 days of reception of estrogens (at the cyclic schema of therapy by estrogens). At inadequate (according to a biopsy or) reactions to a progestagenis drug a dose enlarge ultrasonic up to 20 milligram/day.

Duphaston Special indicatings: It is necessary to take into account, that replaceable hormonal therapy is not appointed without pre-award general medical inspection, including gynecologic survey. Regular carrying out of a mammography is recommended. Abnormal bleedings and the pathological changes revealed at gynecologic survey, can serve as the indication to research an endometritis.
