Alerid is manufactured by Cipla Pharmaceuticals Limited, India.Cetirizine is an antihistamine. It is prescribed to treat the sneezing; itchy, runny nose; and itchy, red, watery eyes caused by seasonal allergies such as hay fever. Cetirizine also relieves the symptoms of year-round allergies due to dust, mold, and animal dander. Preventing or treating symptoms of hay fever and other upper respiratory allergies such as stuffy nose, runny nose, sneezing, itching of the nose and throat, and itchy, watery eyes. It is also used for preventing or treating chronic hives. Cetirizine is an antihistamine. It works by blocking the action of histamine and reduces the symptoms of an allergic reaction. |
